"Aeolian Giggi"

Ingredients: 1 kg of flour, 150 grams of lard, 6 eggs, a glass of Malvasia, 30 grams of sugar, half of litre of cooked wine, oil, salt. Preparation: knead the flour with lard and yolks eggs, sugar and malvasia. Work well the dough and let rest for about an hour. Divide the dough into pieces, giving it the shape of sticks and fry in hot oil. In a saucepan, pour the cooked wine and bring to boil, add the sticks fried, stir, remove from heat and arrange on a platter and sprinkle with sugar.

"Nacatuli of Lipari"

Ingredients: 800 grams of flour, 800 grams of almonds, 900 grams of sugar, 150 grams of lard, 4 eggs, 2 sachets of vanilla, cinnamon and rosewater to taste. Preparation: knead the flour with about 100 grams of sugar, yolks eggs, vanilla and lard; work well the dough and flatten into a sheet. (crop it with a washer, in many oval shapes). Separately blanch the almonds, peel and crush in a mortar, add sugar and rosewater, to make a soft dough. Put some of filling on each dough shape, sprinkle with cinnamon and close, folding the dough to form many bundles. Baking, cooking until you get a golden, sprinkle with sugar.
